Books, books, books....

Hi friends!
In June I purchased a Kindle because I knew I'd be traveling a lot and I didn't want to watch tv all the time in the hotel rooms. I've been very successful in reading multiple books. I thought I'd give you a quick overview of all the books I've read. Just in case you're looking for a new book to add to your library.

1. The Hunger Games Suzanne Collins
I found it frustrating that it took so long for excitement to happen.
2. Catching Fire Suzanne Collins
Much better than the first one but I was a bit confused during some sections of the book.
*3. Mocking Jay Suzanne Collins
*I actually haven't finished this one because it's sooooo boring!*
4. Fifty Shades of Grey Series E.L. James
I didn't find the hype that everyone else had. I just think Christian is so mean! However I did read the entire series so there must have been something good about them.
5. Beautiful Disaster Jamie McGuire
I have read this book twice. It's one of my favorites so far because it reminds me of college. It's my top recommendation
6. Slammed Colleen Hoover
This is a good easy read that keeps you turning pages.
7. Point of Retreat Colleen Hoover
The second book of the Slammed series and I found it just as good as the first book.
8. Reason to Breathe Rebecca Donovan
A sad book about what any teen can be experiencing.
9. Barley Breathing Rebecca Donovan
Continuing the series, this book keeps you on your toes waiting to find out what's going to happen next.
10. Unlovable Sherry Gammon
I am on a trend for picking books that have sad plots but I always am hoping for a good ending. So, again this book is great and another easy to read. The best part, it's only book 1 of 3...this lady needs to get writing.
11. Wild Montana Sky Debra Holland
This is the first of the Montana Sky series and I found it delightful because it takes place 1800's and of course I love it even more because it involves Montana.
12. Starry Montana Sky Debra Holland
Book two is great because it plays off the first book so it's not picking up from where book one left off it's adding onto the story.

I'm currently reading the last book of the Montana Sky series called Stormy Montana Sky. I look forward to finishing the book because it's heart felt and all about love.

Are you reading any good books? Any suggestions?

I hope you all have a great Monday!

Friday!

Happy Friday my friends!

It's time for the weekly flip. I think you know the situation but here's a refresher if you forgot. First I'm going to flip off the things that haven't been the best this week then I'll flip on the good things.

FLIP OFF
...to American Eagle jeans that are supposed to stretch. How many of you do sumo squats in the morning to stretch your jeans? Okay, I admit to gaining a few pounds but these suckers are supposed to stretch!
...to gaining a few pounds. I take total responsibility and I'm frustrated with myself.
...to Halloween candy. That's one of the reasons for the above issue.
...to people at Sissy Poo's job who are not nice to her. Leave her alone people, she's just doing her job!
...to not being ready for my race tomorrow. Again, my fault for being lazy.
...to the couch surfer who has taken up residence at our home. Get you own house fool!

FLIP ON
...to those amazing ladies I workout with. Encouraging to the max!
...to my half marathon tomorrow. I may die but I WILL cross that finish line.
...to my new car! Beep Beep! Don't fret Clark is still around, I'll be donating him to my brother, I just have to drive Clark to Oregon.
...to bonding with new SAR members. When you ride in a vehicle with them for 3 hours, you get to know a lot about them.
...to my boss who was equally excited for Beep Beep! Only because he hates Clark (or he's jealous of Clark.)
...to purple in my hair. I just wanted to spice things up a bit.
...to the Bobcat football game tomorrow and being able to watch it here in I.F.
...to being social and having friends.

That's all for this week. I hope you all have a safe but fun weekend!

Confessions Halloween Addition

Hi Friends! Happy Halloween!! Today I decided to do a lighter confessions post and try to stick to the Halloween/Spooky theme.

 I CONFESS

....that I am sad I can't find my bat headband my mother gave me. It's simply amazing.
...that I L-O-V-E handing out candy because the little costumes are super cute!
...that Lane and I have eaten one GIANT bag of candy already.
...that my two favorite Halloween costumes were being a Girl Scout and Beth from Dog the Bounty Hunter.
...that being a hobo was one simple yet creative costumes that my mother came up with. That and the ladybug.
...my family was huge into recycling Halloween costumes between us kids.
...that I still feel bad my poor father had to pull us in the sled because there was usually snow on the ground. WAY to GO HE-MAN!
...that I am totally okay with giving my kids pillow cases as their candy bags.
...I can't wait to dress up my children in crazy costumes until they realize they have a choice.
...that I'm wearing Halloween themed socks with capris. No fashion statement here today.
...that I'm bummed we didn't carve pumpkins this year.
...that I attempted to wear orange and black eyeshadow this year. Again with the fashion statement. Nope!
...that I fully support adults who dress up for Halloween.
...that I hate scary movies.
...this I want a caramel apple. Maybe I'll make some tonight.
...that I enjoyed trick-or-treating with my family because we were the only kids on the block so we got a lot of candy.

I think that's all for now. I hope you all have a safe yet very fun Halloween!

Happy Wednesday!

Just another manic Monday

Hi Friends,

My alarm goes off at 6:00am giving me time to hit snooze until 6:30. This morning I swear I only hit snooze 3 times and the forth time my alarm wasn't shutting off. Then I realized it was Lane's alarm. Fantastic! He set his for 6:30! I then glanced at my phone and it was 7:10! Mind you, I leave my house at 7:30....that doesn't give me time to do anything but it was necessary for me to shower. (and make coffee, and feed the cats, and blow dry my hair) So this is how it went:
7:11 in the shower
7:20 out of the shower
7:22 running into the kitchen scantily clad
7:22:30 scoop the cat foot into their bowls
7:22:40 starting coffee
7:25 dressed like a fool
7:27 freak out because it's almost time to go and I don't have my hair done or my makeup on
7:27:03 blow dry hair while putting lotion
7:32 slam blow dryer down sprint to Lane saying "I love you but I'm really late"
7:33 grab makeup, straightener, and gym bag
7:33:50 grab whatever I could find in the fridge for lunch and my MUCH NEEDED coffee
7:35 say bye to the kittens and rush out the door
7:36 almost run over the neighbor kids because they were in my blind spot
7:40 think "oh my gosh, I just got 80% ready in 20 minutes!)

Then I arrived at work, plugged in my straightener and finished getting ready.

And that's how I started my day...

Hopefully you don't have a Manic Monday.

*SIDE NOTE: I'm sending positive vibes to those in the East. I hope Sandy doesn't cause as much damage as they expect.*

...to my pesky tire. I know it has a nail in it but I am too busy to get it fixed right now. Just keep holding that air.
...to laziness.
...to my face that is breaking out. (That would be from the Halloween candy that Lane opened and I had a hard time saying no to eating it)
...to gas prices! Come on people!
...to Sandy. Why don't you twirl your way away from the East Coast?

FLIP ON
...to getting my hair done tonight.
...to girls night tonight.
...to getting our first snow. Mind you it's all gone but there are rumors it snowed 14 inches in the mountains. WOOP! WOOP!

Bovine Waste Relocation Service

Hi Friends,

Fall is here and there are a lot of things that need to be done around the farm before the snow starts falling. One of the most important things is bovine waste relocating aka hauling manure. This is very important because the cows are usually at the farm for roughly nine months. When the animals defecates multiple times a day for nine months in a corral, things start to pile up quickly. After the cows are all gone and Lane has finished with harvest he starts to make GIANT piles of poo in order to start his relocation service. Let me go through the steps with you:

1. Make multiple piles of steaming poo

2. Don proper foot attire prior to going to the farm

3. Prep the ever-so-fancy loader for some super scooping

4. Have your good-looking boyfriend (Lane Frost) jump into the loader and get that poo-spreading truck loaded properly.

5. Plug your nose and continue to take multiple pictures of the loading process.

6. Once loaded, stare in awe of how good this poo truck looks full! Don't mind the overflow.

7. Start the slow drive to the corn field to start the spreading process. Once in the field, use this unit to control how fast the beaters go to "toss" the poo on the field.
8. Watch out the window as the poo coats the field and try not to be thrown out the window when you hit the pivot track.

 9. Make Lane stop AGAIN to take more pictures.

 10. Get excited when you find corn left in the field.

11. Finish spreading the load then head back for another round.

12. Shoot....stop one more time on the way back to feed the corn to these grumpy bulls! (sorry the picture is blurry, he was so excited he wouldn't stand still. He's even drooling)

13. Slow production down once more to take enough pictures to last a lifetime.

14. Lastly: Tell Lane you love him and thanks for letting you spend some QT with him at the farm.

That's all! Have a good Thursday!

It's time to check in

Well friends,

I received my email from Delta this morning reminding me that once again I'm heading out on another trip. This is going to be my favorite trip of the entire summer for two reasons:
1. It's my last work trip for the year (at least I'm 99.9% sure)
2. I'm heading to the beautiful state of Colorado for one of my dearest friends wedding!

I am sooooo excited for this wedding. A and B are an amazing couple and I am blessed to be apart of their special day. I was sent this picture yesterday from A showing a view from the area where she is getting married. Can we say amazing?

Friday couldn't come fast enough. I get to meet up with a friend in Denver and we're making the drive to Estes Park. I can already tell I'll be crying tears of happiness this weekend. I will take as many pictures as possible because it's not every day this this gal get's all gussied up.

I think that love is wonderful so I hope you all feel loved.

Have a great Tuesday!

The South

Does growing up in Montana qualify as living a sheltered life? I thought I was exposed to a lot of diversity growing up and going on mission trips. Unfortunately I wasn't exposed to "the south." People of the world, it is an entire different place down here. First let me clear something up, I'm talking South Carolina here. I've been to Georgia and had a totally different experience. Well these crazies here in SC are, well, crazy. Maybe crazy isn't the correct description but sometimes the words don't explain the situation. Here is what I have decided after only being here for 2 days...yep, only two days.

  1. When someone calls you nice lady then says "oh if you're not a nice lady what are you? An ass-hole?" they have no filter
  2. If you are entering a food coma from some delicious fresh seafood and state out loud you are tired, expect someone to make an inappropriate comment like "well if you fall asleep you won't put up a fight"
  3. Asking for people to please hand in their student forms is being bossy
  4. Not providing free swag automatically makes me a tight ass
  5. Having a company card means I should pay for everything
  6. You might just be walking from one place to another when that obviously is the perfect time for one to shout "let me show you some good southern lovin'"
  7. Everyone is ALWAYS right and you are wrong
  8. Damn Yankees
  9. Expect extreme racism...shocking amounts
  10. Your neck and eyes will hurt from the excessive shaking and rolling they will do
On a more positive note, I did get to experience this beautiful sunset while sipping on a cold brewski. Trying to stay positive for a few more days. Even my tough skin has been beaten down this week.

Have a good Wednesday!

Friday Flip Off

It seems like this is the only post I've been getting in during the weeks. I'm back at it today linking up with some great gals providing you my Flip Off and On for this week.

Flip off:
...to hobo spiders! You are nasty creatures who haunt me.
...to all the smoke in the air. We are at the unhealthy levels here in I.F. and that makes it challenging to workout outside.
...to it being darker in the mornings. I'm struggling to wake up on time.
...to political B.S. that has happened all around me.
...to getting my fingerprints back causing another delay in receiving my state EMT license.
...to the tornado that came through my house and left it looking like a war zone.
...to missing Homecoming. Next year!

Flip on:
...to getting new running shoes. It's about time!
...to working two straight weeks in the office.
...to pumpkin spice lattes.
...to personal training!
...to my fantastic friends who cheer me up.
...SAR and how I'm constantly learning new skills.
...to possibly sleeping in this weekend.
...to visiting a new state next week. South Carolina here I come.
...to Bobcat football. GO CATS!!!

That's about all for now. I hope you all have a flipping good weekend!

Call it what you'd like

As I sit here ashamed of what has happened to my blog I feel like I owe you all an explanation. I don't know if I would call my lack of posting a hiatus or even a sabbatical, maybe plain laziness but ultimately I've been neglecting all of you and this blog. I often think of some really great posts but when I sit down to write them, I lose ambition and the question if it would be a good topic to cover. I'm jealous of those who can blog every day. It's a vicious cycle for me to be on top of my posting. Sometimes I really rock at it then I take a nose dive into the pit of despair. It takes me a while to climb out of the black hole of blogger death but eventually I get out. I can't promise I'll be amazing at posting but I really want to try to keep up with this thing. Truth is sometimes I just have a crappy day and don't feel like I need to share. In turn, I'd like to regain my friendships with my readers. I am gathering up the motivation to start kicking ass and taking names when it comes to this blog. Hang in there with me please. I'll try to make it worth your while!

Have a great Wednesday!

Here's my Friday flip off!

I must say that this week seemed to go fast but at the same time it went a little slow. I visited the great state of Georgia for most of the week. There wasn't any site seeing or discovering of the covited Gerogia Peach, straight work. The good thing is, as you are reading this I'm most likely on the plane home. That's always a plus! Okay, onto the real reason I blog on Friday's...it's time to do some flipping.

Flip Off
...to time changes. It kills me every time I travel. No sleep then waking up at 4am my time.
...to hotel neighbors who have their tv up really loud.
...to booking a hotel less than a mile from an airport. (there is a reoccurring travel theme this week)
...to humidity! My hair lasted all but one hour today before I had to put it up.
...to nasty coffee. What's the point?
...to leg cramps/Charlie Horses. Someone hasn't been drinking enough water. Oops!
...to ice cream. Yep, ice cream. You're hurting my tummy.
...to misscommunication.
...to being in row 39 tomorrow on my flight.

Flip On
...to working out while on travel.
...to being able to sleep on a plane.
...to the kind man working at the hotel front desk who gave me a free cell phone charger.
...to king sized beds. Even though I still sleep in the same place.
...to love.
...to music. My saving grace when I travel.
...to raking in frequent flyer miles. Moving up in my status!

And obviously a huge FLIP ON because it's finally Friday!

I hope you all had a great week.

Happy weekend Friends!

Do you really know me?

Some of you have been following me for a while and some of you have accidentally stumbled across my blog because you typed in some random question in your search engine and it pulled up the time I wrote about cutting off cow testicles. As most of you know, I've been really adventurous this year. Pushing myself out of my comfort zone and having a great time doing so. However, I still have secrets. I'm not going to tell you my secrets but I thought I'd share a few more things about myself that you may or may not know.

Did you know....

*I have multiple tattoos but there is only one that I completely regret. If I could, I'd take that day back in a blink of an eye.
*I slept with a blanket until I was 25. Some nights I really want to pull Blane out of the closet and snuggle. Comfort zone!
*I hate my degree. I feel like it was a waste of 5 years of my life.
*I still get sad about life choices.
*I wish I was rich. I know everyone wishes that but I wish/dream/obsess about it. I honestly feel life would be better if I just had money.
*I hate disappointing my parents. I've made them mad multiple times but nothing cuts deeper than the disappointed look.
*I've been engaged before and it sucked big time having the break up happen but I am so glad we are not married.
*I hate feeling stupid.
*I doubt a lot of things.
*I fear my faith isn't strong enough anymore to get into Heaven.
*I have a BFF and a BGFF. (That's best guy friend forever)
*I absolutely hate going grocery shopping and folding socks.
*I don't feel beautiful.
*My favorite song to end my workout is "Pour Some Sugar on Me."
*My mind seems to function more when I'm trying to sleep than it does the entire day. Thus, I don't sleep well.

That's enough for now. Hopefully you all have seen a little deeper into my soul and how this blond functions daily.

Have a great Tuesday!

Music causes memories

I was mowing the lawn yesterday and listening to some sweet tunes. All of a sudden a song came on and it made me smile because it brought back a flood of fun memories. I find that a lot of my "life moments" can be summed up by songs. As I continued my domestic duties for the day, I listened to multiple songs that reminded me of some really fun times in my life. So, for this Manic Monday, I thought I would share some songs that always bring back a flood of memories.

1. P!nk "So What"
After starting a rowdy night at N's house we hopped in Tina and headed to a classy biker bar here in I.F. We BLASTED this song the entire way there. It was a night to remember because we all made super smart choices.

2. 50 Cent "Magic Stick"
Basically summer of 2003 I spent at the #5 apartment and this was a great theme song.

3. Huey "Pop Lock and Drop It"
My little sister and I sat at my first apartment in I.F. listening to this song on repeat just so I could learn the words.

4. Wilson Pickett "Mustang Sally"
D and I headed up to Bozeman with Lane Frost and her hubby. This was prior to both of us being in love with our men but when we decided to show them the town, we headed to greatest bar where D and I proceeded to get crazy and dance like no one was watching when they played this song.

5. George Strait "Amarillo By Morning"
I danced with a friend who has since passed so this song reminds me of him.

6. OutKast "I Like the Way You Move"
Back in the AOII days, my friend P was having a Rock Star night and was singing this song. I remember it so vividly when she was dancing with her hands. A-MAZ-ING

7. 50 Cent "Just a Lil Bit"
Oh JB (now JS) and I would rap this song together. Haha! Just two white girls getting in touch with our inner hoochy.

8. Ace of Base "I Saw the Sign"
My BFF and I have been friends for 24 years now and we used to sing this song while chewing watermelon bubble gum and riding up the chair lift at Bridger Bowl. We'd close our eyes and open them up really big when it says "I open up my eyes..."

9. Dan Seals "Bop"
Just a song that reminds me of an old old flame. We used to two-step to this song.

10. Mr. Big "To be with You"
I think this song came out when I was in 6th grade. There were the "cool kids" who sat in the back of the bus. They carried their tape decks and would play this song on the ride home. I just wanted to be as cool as them.

There are so many song memories locked away in my head. I only gave you a small amount but when writing this blog I laughed so much just remembering these moments. Do you have any specific songs that make memories come flooding back? If so, let me know what they are. I'm anxious to hear what songs have shaped your lives.

Have a great Monday friends!

Eeek Friday already!

Basically I wonder why I blog because I really stink at it. I'm having such a hard time keeping up with it and it's not a high priority at this time. I will however give you a great Flip On, Flip Off Friday if you'd like?
Like up with me and this great gals and do some flipping of your own.
Flip Off
...to the HUGE and I mean HUGE blisters I have on my heels from hiking this week in the wrong shoes. They hurt bad :(

...to all these crazy wildfires. It makes for nice sunsets but honestly we need them to be put out.
...to summer coming to an end. I love the sun and I really don't want it to snow any time soon.
...to myself for not cooking up my wonderful veggies my garden is producing. Ugh...motivational issues here.
...to not sleeping.
...to our cable box dying and deleting all of our recorded shows.
...to True Blood only having 2 more episodes. WTH people? Don't you know that us TB lovers would like a long season?

Flip On
...to 3 SAR calls this week. One is a flip off because the man drowned but I learned a lot and faced many fears.
...to my little sister landing her dream job even if she's moving to Texas.
...to my older sister coming to visit me today. Even if she's not really visiting me.
...to being super productive at work.
...to having one amazing job. I mean it rocks the house people! Maybe because I have a fantastic boss.

Anyways, I'm off to Hot-Lanta on Tuesday and hopefully I'll be able to blog on the road. I'm missing sharing my adventures with you all!

Have one heck of a good weekend!

Love letters!

Hi Friends!
I'm in a great mood because in a mire 3 days I'll be off to NashVegas for a bridal bash weekend. It's going to be fantastic and I'm SO EXCITED! Due to the fact I've been negligent to this blog I thought I'd type out some letters today. Enjoy.

Dear August,
This is a great month! I am loving the fact that harvest is here. It's one of my favorite times of the year because I get to see all the hard work that farmers have put into their crop pay off. Please take time to thank the farmers of the world for the food on your plate. My own Lane Frost is a farmer and I love him for that!
Love,
A consumer of food and a lover of agriculture

Dear Fall,
I'm not ready for you so please hold off for a bit longer. I know it brings fantastic things like branding and football but really, I'd like to keep this warm weather for another month or two.
Love,
The pale Idahoan

Dear Super Secret Stuff,
Ugh! Not good!
Love,
me

Dear Brother,
Stewart is not a good name. Anything else would be okay, maybe not Richard...
Love,
Little Sister

Dear Lane,
I'm STILL waiting..."patiently" I might add.
Love,
Your GF of 4 years

Dear Body,
HELLO?! Don't you know I have a bridesmaid dress to wear in a few months? Yeah, that's what I thought, you forgot didn't you? Well it's time to get your butt back in shape.
Love,
(with my head hanging low) Me

Dear Legs,
Let's train for this half marathon with the hopes of beating your last time. Also don't give up on me, it's been a while.
Love,
My butt that controls my legs

Dear Readers,
I don't have many but whoever you are, I really appreciate you! Thanks for reading!
Love,
ME!

Okay, I have a lot of work to accomplish before Nashvegas. I hope you all have a great Tuesday!

Flippin' on up!

Hey Friends,

Sorry this is late in the day. I've been super busy at work today and I fly out on Monday to DC so it's a must that I finish my work. When it comes to flipping on and flipping off for this fabulous Friday, I don't have much to say except for one GIANT FLIP ON...

I PASSED MY NATIONAL EMT EXAM!!
Next step is the background check (I've already passed that) and finishing up my paperwork. Then I'll be a real EMT! WOOP! WOOP!

Tomorrow I'm hiking to Table Rock with my gal pals. I hope you have a great weekend!

Wednesday's Confessions

Hi Friends,
I was thinking about not doing the confession post for a while then I realized I have some more things to get off my chest.

*I confess that I'm not ready for my EMT test Friday. I'm already feeling anxious and lacking major confidence.
*I confess that I feel like a TERRIBLE girlfriend because I don't spend enough time with Lane.
*I confess that I have self esteem issues. I hate that I still have to do the squat lift trick when putting on jeans.
*I confess I get lonely.
*I confess that sometimes I just want to go back to high school and rid myself of responsibilities.

That's all. Thanks for letting me get that off my chest.

I hope you have a great day!

I'm over at Prairie Princess' today. She's out of town and gave me full power to take over her blog. Come and say hi or just read what I had to say.

Happy Monday!

It's Flippin' Friday Friends!

I hope you all know the drill by now but here's a quick refresher. Today is Friday (duh!) and I'm linking up with Prairie Princess and Princess of the Panhandle to tell you all the good, the bad and the ugly for this week. I'm flipping on all the good and giving a big flip off to the bad. Got it? Okay, great.

FLIP ON:
...to rocking the scale yesterday. Down 2 pounds!
...to Bubs wedding tomorrow. I'm super excited for her!
...to my motivation this week. I've got so much done for work.
...to my new hair, I'm loving it!
...to scheduling my EMT test.
...to the ability to laugh. We all have it so don't forget to use it.
...to my friend D who has worked out with me 4 times this week.
...to seeing my family again tomorrow. That's twice in one month.
...to spending some QT with momma and sister.

FLIP OFF:
...to that IDIOT who shot all those people in Colorado last night.
...to tan lines. Once you get them they never seem to go away.
...to my friend N who is hitting up Nash-vegas before me! (J/K N, I'm super excited for you)
...to my g-ma who still has low SpO2 reading and can't come home from the rehab facility.

I believe that is all. Not a lot to flip off but that's always a plus. I hope you all had a great week. Have a fantastic weekend!

I found it!

Friends!
I have something very exciting to tell you: first, I'm not engaged or pregnant. HA! It's not that exciting. I found something that has been lost for quite some time now and it's been sooo frustrating. Want to know what it is? Ok, I'll tell you. I found my MOTIVATION to workout again. What?! That's not exciting enough for you? Well let me give you a few reasons why it's good to have it back.
1. I NEVER-EVER want to look like this again:
 2. I want to look like this again: (don't mind the goofy photos)

3. I'd like to run another half marathon.
4. I feel a lot better and more confident.
5. I'll fit into my bridesmaid dress (not that it doesn't fit but ask K about her wedding...that was traumatic)

So I've regained my motivation but the hardest part is keeping. I have lots of support from friends and family but it does no good if I don't believe in myself.

Here I go...I'm teaming up with Arnold and I'm going to sweat off the pounds and firm up my butt!

Have an awesome Thursday!

These are my confessions

Happy Wednesday Friends! I was laying in bed last night experiencing my usual night time anxiety thinking about how I have only blogged on Friday's. Totally LAME! Then I was wondering what in the world should I blog about? Then it hit me...I am going to blog about some confessions. There is no need for "Forgive me father, for I have sinned" because let's face it, we all sin every day. But if you want to pretend you're on the other side of the confessional, go right ahead. I shall now confess the following:
*I confess every night I wish I was rich with 4 cars, 2 horses some cows and one amazing house.
*I confess that I want to be a size 6 and love working out.
*I confess that I have an addiction to food.
*I confess that I hate my degree and I wish someone would have told me how pointless it is.
*I confess that I tell Lane Frost to propose to me about every other day.
*I confess I have major baby fever.
*I confess that some day I want to move back to Montana.
*I confess that I had a fluff and nutter sandwich the other day and had zero guilt because it was delish!
*I confess that I failed my national EMT exam and I'm afraid to retake it.
*I confess that I hardly wear any makeup or fix my hair because I'm lazy and I don't know how to do it.
*I confess I miss my ability to be comfortable in heels.
*I confess that it pisses me off that I'm always cleaning the cat box.

That enough for now. Maybe next week I'll have some more confessions but until next time, have the most fabulous Wednesday ever!

Jump up, arch your back and flip!

Hey Friends!
Guess what today is? I'm sure you really don't have to guess because most of us look forward to this day all week. Happy FRIDAY! I'm linking up again with Prairie Princess and Princess of the Panhandle to honor this fine day by flipping a few things on and flipping a few things off!

FLIP ON:
...to my longer hair. If I'm being uber lazy in the morning I just french braid it up.
...to the Relay for Life. Fantastic organization that SAR is helping with tonight through tomorrow.
...to my trainer. She wants to slap me across the face but she's refrained and I appreciate that.
...to my friend who sent a "remember this email?" and it made me laugh and laugh! I'm so dramatic.
...to my new found motivation to kick some butt and get my EMT test done.

FLIP OFF:
...to the lawn that is like a jungle. I will mow today, I will mow today.
...to my love for the cream of ice, you are ruining my life!
...to my gma being in the hospital. She's a fighter so I'm hoping she'll be home soon.
...to my house. I think during the day it grows arms and deliberately throws crap around making it more messy.
...to weeds! I cannot keep up with it. (my garden is growing quite nicely though)
...to FAT. Enough said

That's it everyone. I hope you have a fantastic day! Try not to flip out but if you do, make it a good one.

Utterly naughty but OHHHHH so NICE!

Okay ladies,

It's official, I dropped some dough to see the worst/best movie of the year. Yup, the girls and I saw Magic Mike. Man-kinis, delicious butts, rock solid abs, dance moves to make you holler, and Joe Manganiello. ENOUGH SAID! The story line is stupid but really who's there for the story? Show us your moves men! My friends D and H joined me as I screamed, hooted and clapped. That's right, I clapped. Who wouldn't when there is a giant shot of Channing Tatum's ass? So this is what I recommend, get you girlfriends, go to dinner, grab some pop corn and see this show!

The only down fall is when it's over, you realize you really weren't at the venue throwing dollars at the men. So you wallow in self-pitty for a moment knowing you'll never have any of that man-steel up in your face.

Happy Thursday and you are welcome!

It's a flippin' good day!

Can I please get a huge WOOHOO! It's Friday friends and that means the weekend is sooooo close. Today I decided to link up with two great gals (Nicole and Amanda) for what they call Flip On, Flip Off Friday. Basically you give props to the things that are great and then you flip off the not so exciting parts of you week. Let's get to it!

FLIP ON!
...to this beautiful weather IF has been having. Keep it up!

...to having the entire month of July with zero traveling for work!

...to Lane Frost who installed an AC in our bedroom.

...to Magic Mike coming out today. It's going to get even hotter in here! (De-lish!)

...to having motivation to cook dinner.

...to having a fantastic boss that I can laugh at and with about the stupidest things.

...to my car Clark. He's getting old and I'm so grateful he's still chugging along.

...to the idiot boy who decided to race his crotch-rocket then crash in front of the office. (why is that a flip on? Well I got to use my medic skill on that dummy)

FLIP OFF!
...to all the people who run by my office and look as if they are gliding along.

...to my lack of motivation to go to the gym. I'm lost without my workout partners.

...to my cat Charlie. QUIT PUKING ON THE CARPET!

...to the stupid people who decided to light off fireworks in the mountains causing the massive wild fires that people are fighting.

...to ex wives who ruin my friends lives. You're ridiculous and should just shut your face!

...to sissy-poo being the 1%. Give her a break, she deserves to have a normal life.

...to my undecorated house. It feels so blah but I don't have the moo-lahhhh to decorate at this time.

...to the idiot boy who decided to race his crotch-rocket then crash in front of the office. (no need to show off on this street, it's all old folks that live here.)

That's it for now. If you want to link up with these ladies for Flip On/Flip Off Friday they would love it.

Have a great weekend friends.

Peace out!

Trippin'

I've been uber busy my friends. Honestly I must admit, I still could have made time to blog. When I got back from Cape Cod, I had one week to get ready for one of our most intense trainings that our company puts on. We had so much to do. I had a lot of materials to ship and next thing I know it was time for me to fly to Denver. This time we headed to Boulder, Colorado for a week of training a variety of people who are involved with HazMat in some way. Due to the intensity of this class, I really don't mingle with anyone because they have homework and to be frank, I have no idea how to calculate the half live of cobalt-60. Unfortunately I was sick the first day and it was miserable. I contracted some sinus thing after suffering from allergies for the past few weeks. After that I felt better. The weather was a-maz-ing! We were located near the Boulder Reservoir and I just wanted to go sit on the beach to soak up some much needed sun. Work must come before play time. When Friday rolled around, class was out at 11:30am and my flight didn't leave until 10pm. Go figure...who booked that? HAHA! I did make a plan though. Most of you don't know this but I was born in Denver and spent a lot of summers visiting family and chillin' like a villin'. I had two ideas on how to kill my time. 1. Water World or 2. Denver Zoo. Because the water park seemed a bit more expensive and required more time, I opted for the zoo. To be honest, I just wanted to go to the zoo. Dad was once a snake handler there so I had to check out the old stomping grounds. Well my friends, not much has changed. I went with another man I work with and we proceeded to name most of the animals and question why random birds were placed with exotic deer or even the cape buffalo. Here are some random things that were discussed and then some pictures.
1. Birth control: yep I typed that...the children there were crazy psychos who should have been caged.
2. Max: the rubber tree my parents donated to the bird house.
3. The lack of "natural habitat" the animals had.
4. Why there were a lot of bunnies in with the gorillas...I mean a lot of bunnies!!
5. Multiple "I remember this"
6. The smell
7. Why they thought it was a good idea to have hundreds of "kissing bugs" when they are extremely deadly.

And a lot more randomness but it's a little boring so I'll show you all some pictures.

 Yes...Mark is SUPER tall!
I however, am not that tall. I would lose my battle with a polar bear.
And lastly, here's a video of my inability to jump.
So there you go. My exciting adventure to the Denver Zoo.

Until next time!

Camp Edwards day 2

Enough said! I just can't understand anyone...

Boston Red Socks...football team?

Hi Friends!

It's Tuesday and slightly warmer for the moment. It's still raining and there is no signs for that sun to shine before I leave. I'm sipping on some delicious Dunkin' Doughnuts coffee hoping to wake up shortly. Last night we ventured into the world of Yelp to find a highly rated restaurant in town. Thai was one of the top choices. I've never had Thai food but why not. I'm not a big fan of curry but not everything Thai includes curry. I tried the wanton soup, some pineapple fried rice, and some Pad Thai. All DELISH! I'd go back there again anytime. We then ventured to KMart because bossman forgot his jacket. After an amazing experience throughout the store, this is what he decided on. Only to then make a comment (a serious comment) about how the Boston Red Socks was his favorite football team. HAHA! I burst out laughing. He is hysterical!

This is the cover of a soap magazine. I saw it in KMart and laughed out loud. I couldn't stop laughing...these are the things in life that make me smile. Only because I know, somewhere in the world someone purchased this magazine and was very upset that Sharon did sleep with Billy. It could have possibly ruined their life. Way to go Sharon, I hope you feel bad. You've pissed off a lot of dedicated fans. (or that's what I am assuming.)

Simply things in life my friends...simple things make me smile!

I hope you all have a great Tuesday!

East Cost time

Sometimes the hardest part about traveling for work is the time change. I'm currently in Cape Cod, MA providing some training at Camp Edwards. We arrived yesterday in Boston and drove down. I packed my shorts and flip flops, ready to enjoy some sun. There is no sun shining in Cape Cod. It's effing cold here! It's raining and the wind is blowing sideways. I even turned on the heater in the hotel room...bummer man. Just when you think you're going to soak up some sun by the ocean, it rains. The time change hasn't quite killed me but it's close. I think after today I'll be okay.
Here's some photos I took so far.
I hope you all had a great weekend!

Moving out!

Wednesday was a big day at the farm. Lane looks forward to this day every summer where-as I get sad when this time comes. Friends, I'm here to say, the cows have been shipped to the mountains. Each summer the majority of the cows get shipped to summer range up in Island Park where they feast on delicious grass. I asked Lane to take some photos for me to share with all of you. I'm sad to see the ladies and their babies leave but there are still a few of my favorite that are here. Helen is here and she's going to have a baby this year. I'm not sure how I feel about that so we will see when that time comes. So here are the photos Lane took. I think they turned out good!
Happy weekend all!

Something new...

I've been having a hard time coming up with ideas for blogging. I've done some serious research and really there isn't much to blogging. It's all about expressing yourself. I have been struggling with myself. I'm trying to find my way now that I am not busy with school. Summer time means more work for Lane because of all the crops they grow. Meaning, I need to make use of all my free time. I've also been struggling with my weight and exercise. I hate hate hate that this is an uphill battle for me. I have been thinking about this idea for a couple of days now, I think it's a good way for me to keep up with blogging and to air any dirty laundry or share random stories. The best part, you all get to know me even better! Yay?! So my idea isn't anything new, in fact I have friends who do this and yep I'm copying them. Each day, I hope to take a picture of something that happens. Then I'll post the story and it may be dumb or it may be funny. We will have to see what happens....
Here's my first photo:
This happened this weekend. Sissy-poo had hip surgery in Vail, CO and had to fly back with Mamma bear. I pick them up at the airport and then headed back to the parentals home to get all of sissy-poos machines hooked up. After getting her settled in and having one of her ice treatments, she needed to flip over. In the process of flipping her over, the bed broke. That's nice right? So...because Papa bear was driving back from Vail, I went to the lumber yard and got more boards so we could fix the bed. After it was all said and done, I volunteered to take the night shift to take care of sissy-poo. We went to bed about 11 then she woke up at 3:30am and needed to stretch out her hip. So about 4:30 we went back to sleep. My parents had been doing that for an entire week! I know sissy-poo is super appreciative to mamma and papa bear but I even am so wowed by the fact they have done all this for her and still are functioning. Sissy-poo has a long road of recovery, as of now, she can't lift her own leg but she's pressing on! Here's to the next few months of learning how to dance again.

I hope you all had a great Memorial Day.

Enjoy your Tuesday!

Still catching up...

Did you all know that I work for a company contracted by the government? Probably not but now you know. Here's a little tidbit about working for "the man." The Man is in charge, so if then man says stop working you stop working. That happened last year when everyone was freaking out about the national budget. Mind you, I don't stop stop working we just have to stop training and doing anything that requires spending money. Now that budgets have be resolved we're catching up on all the training we missed last year. Needless to say, it's been crazy busy around here. I keep saying I'm going to get my desk cleared off but the pile is growing. Here's a picture of desk so you can get an idea of what needs to be done ASAP! Then another picture of my OTHER desk...that is always messy (with my girls as the picture as my computer desktop background.)

I'd like to stay organized but I have to re-prioritize often. I have a goal to get that huge pile cleared off today! I'm going to be successful...I will get caught up!

Happy Friday all! Have a FANTASTIC Memorial Day!
